I plead guilty. I totally lost track of time and forgot to switch off the lights for Earth Hour.
On hindsight, what exactly was I doing? Frankly speaking, just about everything that I should not have been, during that one hour. I was in the midst of formatting my laptop and getting rid of the virus' that were giving me grief,I had dinner baking in the oven and I was watching bits and pieces of a reality show on T.V.
I really hope there were less people like me and more like the countless people around the world who participated in what really is a global event meant to create awareness about the need to take action against climate change.
For those like me, who for whatever reason did not observe Earth Hour, the less said the better.
Then again, I dont have to wait till next year to make my contribution towards climate change. I am going to make a conscious effort immediately to keep non-essential lights and electrical appliances turned off as much as possible.
Oh oh...for starters, this means turning off my computer right away!
