When you fall in love
You will glow
Under warm sunny skies
The sound of laughter
And happiness will fill your life
Like a colourful rainbow
I couldn’t wait to fall in love.
When I finally did
Everything was so beautiful
Through the eyes of love
My heart sang
My feet hardly touched the ground
And my heart soared.
But they didn’t tell me….
How to handle broken dreams
When a shattered heart
Is strewn in smithereens
Leaving me bitter, teary eyed and broken
To pick up the pieces
So very alone
Why did I ever fall in love.
